In Dalarna, we have Hemslöjden’s foremost educational institution, Sätergläntan Institute of Crafts. Sätergläntan can offer a lot of different short courses and educations from 1 – 3 year in Weaving, Sewing, Woodworking and Blacksmithing. Sätergläntan welcomes students from abroad! The teaching language is Swedish but it usually works well if you know some English.
In Dalarna, there are also a number of folk high schools with craft educations – Leksand Folk High School, Mora Folk High School, Malung Folk High School, Fornby Folk High School and Sjövik Folk High School. Close but in the neighboring county you will find Västerbergs fhsk.
